Why are the bars to VENDLET not turning as intended when under load?


Is VENDLET suitable for all patients?


Is VENDLET applicable for incontinent patients?


Is VENDLET applicable with a pressure relief mattress?


Is it necessary to use the side rails, if the patient is lying completely still in bed?

Yes. The side rails have been introduced to ensure that VENDLET fulfils all requirements to
mechanical safety.


If the side rails are not used, there is a risk that:

If the patient always lies calmly in bed, the use of side rails may seem unnecessary. In such cases the nursing staff may choose at their own risk not to use the side rails. However, the risk must be re-evaluated regularly as the patient’s condition may change rapidly.

H.C. Equipment does not assume any responsibility if the side rails are not used.



Is it necessary to pull out the plug to cut off the power supply to VENDLET before leaving
the patient in bed?



Is it always necessary to insert the safety locks in the fittings on VENDLET HC-2 before leaving the patient in the bed?


How do we attach the urine bag if the patient uses a catheter?



What if the turning sheet does not roll up evenly on the bars?


Why is the red side activated, if the blue buttons on the hand control are pressed, etc.?

  • The funnel-shaped opening between the head- and footboard and the upper edge of VENDLET is greater than 60 mm. This can cause suffocation should the patient become caught by the throat.

  • The opening between the head- or footboard and the sides of VENDLET is greater than 12 cm. If the patient tries to get through this opening either with the head or the feet first there is a risk that he/she will get caught.
