The invention
Sleep Tight is designed by Mogens Espersen, former manager of a depot of care products in the town of Skive Denmark
Mogens Espersen received an inquiry for a bed for a resident suffering from Huntington’s Disease.
Persons with Huntington’s Disease often develop physical symptoms in the form of violent involuntary movements. Therefore, it can be difficult for them to lie calmly in bed.
As Mogens Espersen could not find a good solution on the market, he considered whether a hammock could solve the problem. He used the elements from VENDLET to manufacture the prototype.
The hammock had a fantastic effect. The resident fell asleep right away.
Mogens Espersen has established a co-operation with H.C. Equipment with regard to the manu-facture and marketing of the hammock under the name of Sleep Tight.
