When preparing for surgery, adjust the width of the turning sheet so the sheet can easily be removed from under the patient after the turn is completed.
Before the anaesthetic, place the patient on the turning sheet on the operating table.
When the patient requires turning after the anaesthetic, attach OPLET to the operating table and secure the safety locks in the fittings.
Fasten the turning sheet to the velcro straps on the bar.
Release the stop button on the control unit."
OPLET eases the turning of surgical patients
OPLET prevents employee injuries and ensures a more gentle turn.
With the VENDLET principle in mind H.C. Equipment developed OPLET in co-operation with surgical staff at Odense University Hospital in Denmark to facilitate the process of turning patients to prone or lateral position before surgery.
The separate unit is easily attached to the operating table. The purpose is to enable the safe turning of a patient after the anaesthetic has taken effect. After use, OPLET is removed without the use of tools.
Today, OPLET is used in several surgical wards in Denmark. Not only does OPLET prevent employee injuries associated with manual lifting. It also provides considerable relief for staff as only 4 people are required to complete the turn as opposed to the previous 7 or 8.

Activate the foot pedal to tighten the sheet on the bar and turn the patient to lateral or prone position. While the bar does the heavy work, the staff supports the patient's head and limbs.
After use, release the safety locks in the fittings and remove OPLET from the operating table.
